Brazil: Landless Women Mobilize for Agrarian Reform and Against Violence by Brazil

This year’s National Day of Landless Women’s Struggles began on March 8 and runs until next Thursday, the 12th, with mobilizations in all regions of the country. With the motto: “People’s Agrarian Reform: to face violence, occupy and organize!”, the peasants joined the women of the city, on this on International Women’s Day, day 8, echoing the voice of the feminist struggle against patriarchy and to demand rights.

More than 11 thousand Landless Women participated in the mobilizations in the first two days of the Day, in 13 states and 21 municipalities. In all, 24 actions were carried out, among them 7 occupations of unproductive landowners, marches, spaces of debate and formations, blockades and acts demanding the Agrarian Reform and the end of violence.
